The campground sits in a quiet bowl surrounded by Mojave Desert landscape. You camp near sandstone ridges, steep canyons, and rock formations. The Red Rock Scenic Drive and Visitor Center are 3 miles away. Red Spring and Calico Basin, a no-fee area, sit 2 miles from camp. Hiking trails, rock climbing, mountain biking, and horseback riding happen here.

Standard sites accommodate up to 10 people and 2 vehicles per site. Walk-to tent sites are limited to 1 tent and 1 vehicle. Six RV sites hold 1 RV and 1 vehicle each. Group sites can fit up to 50 people and 8 vehicles. All campsites have picnic tables and grills when fire restrictions allow. Vault toilets, trash cans, and drinking water are provided. Three sites offer full accessibility with concrete surfaces and pathways to restrooms.

The campground has no water fill stations, dump facilities, or electrical service. You camp here dry. Parking is limited to designated spots at your site only. There are no overflow or day-use parking areas.
