You camp at one of 18 single sites or two group sites. Each has a picnic table and fire ring. Vault toilets and trash service are close by. The campground has day-use parking and three boat ramps for river access. A seasonal potable water system runs from mid-April through mid-November. Water is not available for trailer hookups or RV filling. The Gore Canyon Whitewater Playpark sits just above Boat Ramp 2, where kayakers use a manmade wave.

Hiking trails branch directly from camp. The Gore Canyon Trail runs 1.5 miles upriver on foot only. The Gore Canyon Ranch Trail goes 1.25 miles downriver and connects to the historic ranch trailhead. The Argentine Trail peels off from the ranch trail and climbs steeply into Hartman Canyon. Early surveyors and homesteaders blasted this footpath into the cliff face to access the river and survey routes for a railroad.

You must reserve each campsite through Recreation.gov before arriving. Check your site's parking length limit when you book. Back-in and pull-in driveways are 35 feet or less. You cannot sleep in a vehicle outside your assigned spot. Extra vehicles can park along the adjacent roadway or in general parking areas if space allows. The BLM Kremmling Field Office manages the Upper Colorado River Special Recreation Management Area and enforces these rules. Over 100,000 people visit annually, so spring and fall weekends fill fast. Fire restrictions close in September most years. Call the Kremmling Field Office at 970-724-3000 before you drive in to confirm seasonal restrictions and water availability.
